Biography

Corinne Baty was born in 1961. She lives and works in the south of France.

A self-taught sculptor, the call of the earth has often been heard throughout her life. When the time has come, it has become evident, pressing, an essential and vital imperative.

She draws from the variety of humanity, her sensitivity, to model her characters in this material that is clay, multiple, alive and surprising.

For her, sculpture is a journey, nothing is written in advance. The border between the real and the imaginary is tenuous and if the result of his work violates realism, it is only the reflection of the child part in each of us.
